talk about bad luck!!

well so much for the luck of the Irish! My poor MIL fell over in a carpark on her second day here - gave herself a nasty black eye and broke her elbow. Thankfully we all had a swim in the ocean on the first day they were here - she now has a cast from wrist to shoulder and can't go in the water What a bummer...

another weekend away??

anyone would think that I have a charmed life?? I have just had a lovely 2 days break with little Clancy with my mum's quilting group..all meals home made and prepared for us in a beautiful relaxing inspiring location. Only got a couple of LO's done with the little one in tow - but that's OK.. I have been moved to finally finish my hexagon quilt top........um.......
ok..
anytime now.

or maybe later. Well needles can be dangerous you know.
Here's a LO of my big blue eyed boy .

It's not quite finished..but I have moved out of my scraproom - (sorry don't know why I have suddenly gone to italics??) My parents in law are arriving from Ireland next week for 3 weeks, so my scrap room has been converted to a guest room . I have 1 sick at the moment so I hope everyone is better for the visit :( They haven't seen the kids for nearly 5 years so it is very exciting!!

Wow - I have already got an album done for next year - thanks to the Masters comp..For my calendar entry, I altered an old LP record album - the front and back of each page in the album has the dates, and a LO slips in to show the month through the hole... At the end of each month - the LO is pulled out and a photo and journalling is added to the LO and it is finished.

- sorry about all the photos!!

Masters

No happy calls from the masters team this year :(
...but a HUGE congratulations to all the ladies who made the top 50!!

Here are my entries for this year- for the keepsake I altered an antique brush and mirror set for my daughter - my "shaped" LO is a window box, full of blooms, and the double LO is called "looking forward".

spring is in the air..

my garden is full of butterflies, the rose bushes are flowering and a lovely bearded dragon spent the day sunbaking under the trampoline..
I have been Busy (with a capital B).. making some cards, sewing, sewing and more sewing - and not over any appendages this week!! Making the cutest things for my new range of baby goodies - keep an eye out they will be launched 01st October - here and in my new Etsy shop..
Baby C has had his first apple today - nearly 5 months old already. Funny how you think you are as busy as you can be with 2 kids; until you have 3.....
Still you just gotta fit it all in!
Here is a layout I did for the Creative Artz Cottage- Donna has just got a new puppy "Princess Lulu" - so this is for her.

A blanket, a scarf, some gorgeous booties and a pin holder..

yep that's what I've been doing this week...how cute are these little booties??? I downloaded the free pattern from Heather Bailey.. they are made from an old jumper. The scarf knitted for Ds - he choose the wool from all the colours at spotlight - well pink is cool for boys right??? I did talk him out of the sparkly pink one ..The little birdie book is from scraps of felt for my "special pins.(yes my life is so sad that I have "special" pins)..and the blanket I bought fron Vinnies for $4!!!(did you think I whipped it up in a week????) how could you give that away - Ds claimed it straight away.

I have also been sewing for DD's school concert - and I managed to do something that I have never done before...sewed over my finger on the sewing machine. Wouldn't recommend it. Ouch - lots of blood (didn't get any on the costumes though!) -a savoury word or two - and a few Simpsons bandaids later I think I will probably live.

A couple of days away..

and a couple of layouts later..
have had a bit of a break visiting some friends at the
Sunshine Coast. It's nice to have a break from the day to day.. Little Clancy is growing fast - now 16 weeks - smiling, laughing and rolling front his tummy to back - he is just GORGEOUS!! His eyes are still very blue - so it will be interesting to see if they stay that way - DD's turned brown at nearly 2 years.

bad, bad blogger!!

I know - but life keeps getting in the way! I am SO lucky at the moment and grateful to be able to spend time at home with my new little boy - it's time that I wasn't able to take with the other two - and I am just ignoring boring things like housework and grocery shopping and just playing and cuddling..
So another big chain has closed most or all their stores - who would have thought that Starbucks would be struggling?? Just goes to show the economic climate that we are in. Still - there is a lot of whingeing going on in this country - about the price of fuel, food etc, etc..you know what - GET A GRIP - there are people in this world bringing up their families in war zones, people who have children with cancer..
I am grateful to have a warm home, a husband who works hard and loves us, parents who get to spend time with their grandchildren and food on the table. If we can't afford to go away on the weekend or eat fresh seafood and drive a flash car- I think that is a very small price to pay.
WAKE UP AUSTRALIA!!!!
Anyway, I will get off my high horse now!!
I have manged to do a few layouts..

There is SO much competition - I am just thrilled to have challenged myself and done 4 huge projects around a new baby, 2 other kids and husband away...

Baby Clancy is 3months old already this week - the time goes so fast - here is gorgeous little face.

Congratulations!!

to Anita and Mark on the birth of beautiful Shane Luke Messitt in Ireland on the 28th of June..My kids finally have a cousin - about time guys, it's a bit far to go for a play day though!
I am flat out trying to complete my Masters entry - between nappies and rainy school holidays (why does it always rain on school holidays, even in a drought??) - and husband with a bad back - I'm not sure if I can get finished by the deadline and have it to Sydney by the 18th!! So it maight be a bit quiet on the bloggging front as I madly create..
I am thrilled to have won 2nd place on the Aussie Scrap Music Challenge this month - yippee - a voucher to spend with gay abandon.

Good Luck Anita

and Mark!
We awaiting the arrival of Brother and Sister in Law in Ireland's first baby. I am NOT phoning because I know how horrible that last bit of pregnancy is when everyone is just WAITING for you to produce a baby... I stopped going out because of the STUPID questions like "have you had the baby yet?" - well do you see a baby??!!

So I am NOT ringing or emailing....
or waiting for my first nephew..
(much)

...
..
.

Good Luck!!

and so to July..

I was been looking for some inspiration for these photos of bubs beautiful smiles - and I found a new challenge blog: Aussie Scrap Music..
Here they challenge you to get inspiration from a funky music video clip every month. This month is a great Aussie band (that I hadn't heard of..um..ok, so I am old - bring back Duran Duran!!)
I Love u Simon!!

moving on...

C.J. has just had his first needles - still not 100% from the horrible Bronchiolitis - but he has put on 800 grams in 3 weeks - so he's doing O.K.!

8 weeks old

Wow, where did that 8 weeks go?? Clancy is starting to really grow this week - he is suddenly out of loads of clothes. I finally got some photos printed - now I just need some time to scrap them.
I have been doing little bits and pieces, a couple of layouts, but I need a good whole day session - a bit of therapy!!

pink sky at night

The sky was amazing as the sun went down last night. These photos are from our backyard, just two minutes later it was all dark..
Bub is much better now - all the cough is gone and the horrible rattle in his chest too. A much happier household all round!
